California-based company helping Maryland marijuana store with Green Bits

Medicinal marijuana stores are finally beginning to open after Maryland legalized the substance in 2013, and a California-based company is helping make that transition smoother.
Charlie Wilson is in Maryland this week equipping medical marijuana dispensaries with Green Bits.
It's a point-of-sale technology helping ensure dispensary owners stay compliant by tracking and syncing inventory in real time with the state, managing patient limits and ensuring patients have the proper identification.
"We serve about 800 retailers, handling about $2 billion in sales activity across seven states. This week, we are in Maryland as Maryland opens its market. It's the Square for cannabis, purpose-built for this industry to help business owners grow their business, and stay compliant," Wilson said.
