Sept. 10-16, 2019 Dispensary Compliance Updates


In Alaska, the Marijuana Control Board is meeting September 11-13 to hear an enforcement briefing, review new license applications, and review proposed regulations (attachments found here).

In Maine, software development and configuration is still ongoing for the state's track and trace system.  According to the Office of Marijuana Policy, the details regarding Biotrack's API might not be available until some point in October.

In Montana regulators will hold a public hearing on proposed medical cannabis testing rule changes on September 26th.

The Oregon Liquor Control Commission is currently in rulemaking to review legislative changes made during the 2019 session and address other issues that have arisen within the licensed and regulated marijuana industry. Upcoming meetings will focus on Administrative rules related to Tracking, Cameras & Security, and Compliance.

OLCC Podcast: The OLCC has started putting out Podcasts where they review important regulation developments and go over rules and what they mean. This information will be extremely valuable for licensee compliance managers in Oregon!

In Washington, the WSLCB held its first Data Share Agreement (DSA) workgroup meeting at its headquarters on Monday afternoon. The purpose of the DSA is to provide terms and conditions under which the WSLCB will allow Integrator use of its system and data. Further, it will ensure WSLCB and Licensee data is protected and only used for purposes authorized by law. The goal is to launch the DSA in the Spring of 2020. 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking people to stop vaping as it investigates a fifth death potentially linked to vaping. The number of cases of severe lung illness possibly caused by vaping has surged to more than 450 in 33 states with one more reported death in Kansas this week.
