Kilowatt hour
One Kilowatt hour is a measurement of power consumed. Kilo means "thousand" and kilowatt hour is the common unit used to sell or measure power consumption or use. So kilowatt hour is 1000 watts for 1 hour. or 100 watts for 10 hours or any combination that makes 1000 watts for a length of time equal to 1 hour. Kilowatt hour can be used to describe either AC or DC current but, in general, it is more often applied to grid power and AC.
