Distillation

The evaporation of volatile products from a liquid or solid mixture enabling extraction of the volatile compounds for use.

Distillation can be used to process wood gas, producer gas and alcohol as well as refining oil, purifying water and separating compounds in a mixture with different boiling points known as fractional distillation.
