Ammeter (Amp Meter)

Ammeter or Amp Meter. An ammeter is a piece of test equipment for measuring the current flow in a circuit measured in amps. Typically for RE use an ammeter will consist of a shunt and a mechanical meter connected across the shunt to read the current flow in amperes through the shunt. Other methods do exist, such as a digital ammeter or a clamp on meter.
